SENSO
2026

Senso reimagines the Romolo area in Milan by exploring the city through the senses. Based on the idea that spaces designed to feel safe and welcoming for children become safer for everyone, the project translates urban sensory experiences into play-based spatial design.

Developed from a broader site analysis of sensory conditions, the design later focuses on sound, movement, and touch to organize the area into interconnected zones. Variation in color, material, and spatial atmosphere encourages exploration. While greenery and shaded seating support both play and everyday use, fostering a shared sense of safety and belonging.

Made in collaboration with Miruna State, Elisabeth Clausen, Jeanne Barbandiere & Aliyah Shah.
